  1. Take a blender, add all the green masala ingredients, and blend it to a smooth paste adding little water,wash &clean chicken pieces add the ground green masala, mix well and marinate for 30minutes..

Now place a pan on low flame, roast all the xacuti masala ingredients for 3-4 minutes,cool it for a while, grind to powder, now your xacuti masala powder is ready, keep aside,add a tsp oil to the same pan,roast half onion and fresh coconut together, roast until it turns to golden brown in colour
  3. Transfer roasted coconut and onion in to blender add little water, and grind it to a fine paste..keep aside, now place deep sauce pan on medium flame add 2tbsp oil/ghee add 1/2sliced onion saute it until light brown, now add in marinated chicken in to that…
  4. Saute it for 3-4 minutes add xacuti masala powder, mix it well…now add coconut paste, tamarind water and 1/4 cup of water mix well, cover the lid and cook on low flame about 15-20 minutes or until done…your delicious goan style chicken xacuti is ready to serve with pav/rice/roti…
