The ingredients needed to make Chicken Masala:
  1. Take 500 gm chicken
  2. Prepare 100 gm yogurt
  3. Get 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  4. Get 1.5 teaspoon ginger paste
  5. Prepare 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  6. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  7. Take 1 large onion finely chopped
  8. Take 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  9. Make ready 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  10. Take 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  11. Get 4 green cardamom
  12. Make ready 4 cloves
  13. Get 1 garam masala powder
  14. Take To taste Salt
  15. Prepare Vegetable oil as required
  16. Take 1 teaspoon ghee
Instructions to make Chicken Masala:
  1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon ginger paste and garlic paste, and keep it at least for 1 hour.
  2. Heat some oil in the wok and add the cardamom, cloves and saute it for a while.
  3. Add the chopped onion and 1 pinch of salt. Fry them till golden brown. Add the rest of the ginger paste, and the coriander powder. Fry them well.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and fry them in a high flame.
  5. Add the tomato ketchup and mix them well.
  6. Add the rest of the marinated mix that was left while adding the chicken pieces.
  7. Mix them well and then add some water.
  8. Cover it for 20mins in a low flame.
  9. Check whether the chicken has become soft.
  10. If yes, add the garam masala powder, coriander leaves and ghee.
  11. Mix well and remove it from the flame.
  12. Serve hot.
  13. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
